Free at last

Well, looks like I will be on here a lot more as I will have some major free time. I received my notice at work of my lay off and my last day will be 9/25. I have been with the company for 9 years and it was quite a shocker when it happened. But I am definitely ready for new opportunities that lay ahead. I am also looking forward to some time with kids. I have many projects that I have been putting off and now I can start and finish them. I will miss the many friends that I've made at work.. that is definitely going to be the hard part about leaving.

I am hoping to reconnect with some of my online friends that I've lost touch with. And am eager to start drawing and being creative!!

Oh and did I forget to mention that I am free at last!!

New Direction

Hi, *waves* It's me again, after sooo long. Decided on a name change.. And I love it!!! I am hoping to finally get my place in order and start posting some of my creations! I just recently went to renew my domain ( it's been about 2 months since it expired ) and found out that someone already snatched it up!! The name was definitely catchy.. Any who, I bought another domain name and now looking around for a good hosting site.. Sooo hopefully soon my site will be up and running again..

I also have been working hard to get my scrapbook room in order.. Painted it about a month ago, however I am thinking about re-paininting it. LOL, hubby says.. good luck, you're on your own this time!! Can't blame him, right? Welp, off to surf around and get some ideas for personalizing my spot!

Whooooaaa

So yea, it sure has been awhile.. Not that many come to or even know that my blog exist. Anywho, a whole lotta stuff going on in RL. We are currently purchasing a house and are in Escrow. We are hoping to be moving in by the end of this month, August. We are moving about an hour away from San Jose, Ca. I will miss it that's for sure, but it will be good for my kids. Not to mention we will be living in a beautiful house. We will also be closer to my hubby's dad, step mother and brothers. I have family out there as well so it should be nice. The only thing I am not looking forward to is how HOT it is out there.. But we have Central Air, so can't really complain. And hopefully in a couple of years we can add a pool.

Did I also mention that I am soo excited to decorate? YAY!!! Not sure what my colors will be, but I definitely want something light and airy, but cozy! I am definitely into the Pottery Barn look, although I cannot afford anything at PB.. But love looking anyways and getting ideas!

Welp, I have been playing in photoshop alot. Actually with my photographs. Cleaning them up and making the colors pop! I have been looking at a lot of tutorials and am realizing that the way I have been working in PS is definitely the loooong way.. I have learned soo many shortcuts. It's amazing all the stuff you can do in PS. Love it!!

New Tablet

Ok, so I don't have much time to post as the hubby is calling me to help him make dinner.. But I just had to share the news.. I got a new tablet today. I will most likely give my old one to my 9 yrd old daughter as she loves to draw. We are going to my buy my 17 year old a laptop for her graduation this year and will pass on her desktop to my 9 year old. She's going to love it as it will have Photoshop and she already knows how to draw in it.

So I will post a pic of my new toy later tonight. Also, it came with Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0, Corel Painter and some other program. WOO HOOO... Ok, off to fix dinner, be back later..

Ok, so I have been hearing from a few people in regards to me not updating my blog. I must admit that now that I am no longer on Sabbatical and back at work, I have had no time. Not that I did alot of posting while I was on Sabbatical. LOL

I am thinking that I will use this blog as part of my personal / and part as my scrapbook outlet. I will add some pics of my newest scrapbook pages probably over the weekend. Anywho, for those of you who visit, THANK YOU!! I promise to try to update more often.

Holiday Shopping

Sooo how many of you participated in Black Friday? My friend Shelley told me that she was going to Khol's at 4:00 in the morning to shop. WTF!! That is sooo crazy to me. Do you really save that much money by shopping that early? I heard that people get really vicious out there. See, it definitely wouldn't be good for me cause I would be in a bad mood the whole time.. Any who, I think I am officially going to start my shopping today.




Nothing too exciting is going on while on Sabbatical... But I am enjoying spending time with the kids. Except for when they are running around, fighting with each other, making a mess of everything! That's when "Calgon take me away" comes into play. But hey, what can you do?
